If you are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Landed Immigrant or have a Canadian Work Permit, please follow these guidelines:
In your cover letter:
- Please write describing how your work experience, education, and/or skills best match the qualifications required for the position you are applying for. Also, state the position you are applying for.
- Mention any languages (other than English) that you can speak and write even if your language wasn’t requested in the job ad.
- Address the cover letter to the Hiring Committee. Often, the name that appears in the job ad is not the same person involved with the selection process.
- The length should be no more than one (1) page long.
On your resume:
- Please list your work experience, education, any memberships, certificates, diplomas, etc. and any volunteer work along with start and end dates of these activities.
- Optional, you can include:
• A Summary Section or Objective Statement
• Interests or Hobbies
- Please have your Name and contact information on every page and each page numbered.
DO NOT include any of the following:
- Personal Photos
- Copies of transcripts, diplomas, certificates, etc.
- References (If you are selected to come in for an interview, references will be required at that time)

- By Email - attachments to be Microsoft Word documents or in a PDF format. If you are using WordPerfect or other word processing software, you can copy and paste the text into the body of the email. See the job posting for the email address.
