Our Counsellors Can Help You! 
Settlement CounselingIf you are a new Immigrant or Refugee we can help you to settle, adapt and integrate in London.

If you have problems finding and using services in the community, we can help.

Our Counsellors Can Provide:

  • Orientation
  • Referral
  • Interpretation
  • Counselling
  • Advocacy
  • Life Skills Education
  • Speakers
  • Workshops
    • Refugee Claimant Workshop
    • Help with Government Forms
    • Monthly workshops; Immigration, Education, Consumer Rights, etc.

We can provide group and individual orientation sessions in helping you find a place to live, find a place to study and get to know London. We can guide you through the Immigration process and refer you to community services if needed. We offer help dealing with other agencies and services if you can’t get access to services available to newcomers. If you have family problems or need crisis counselling, we can offer support.

Language and Cultural Differences 
Our Staff speak languages including Arabic, French, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Spanish, Korean, Punjabi, Urdu, Amharic, Serbo-Croatian, Karen, and Vietnamese. They come from a variety of different cultures and countries. Our partners and volunteers can provide cultural and language interpretation when needed.

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p. m.

LGBTQ Settlement Services

LGBTQ LOGO small cropped
Cross Cultural Learner Centre offers services and support for LGBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Questioning) immigrants settling in Canada.


Services include: information & orientation, problem solving, advocacy, help with immigration and Canadian documentation and much more.


We provide anti-homophobia trainings within the newcomer population (ESL/LINC Schools) and also provide LGBTQ awareness training in collaboration with other agencies who serve newcomers.

 

CCLC-LGBTQ Social/Support Group
Our social group provides a warm, safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Questioning) newcomers.


If you are LGBTQ or wish to support our group, join us to meet other newcomers in the LGBT community for coffee, conversation, education, social activities, peer support, friendship and fun. Our group meets once a month.
