Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP)

This program assists newly arrived Government Assisted Refugees with their resettlement process. It provides support and essential services for the immediate needs of refugees destined to London, Ontario, and transferees during their first 6 weeks. Our program is funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.

Our goal is to help them transition into their new home in Canada. 

Our services include:

  • Individual assessments.

  • Application for mandatory federal or provincial documents.

  • Orientation and information training.

  • Supportive Counseling.

  • Enhanced Life Skills Support- practical one-on-one support.

  • School Registration for children

  • Language Assessments and Referral to LINC classes for adults.

  • Support securing permanent accommodation.

  • Referrals and community connections.

 

Privately Sponsored Refugees are offered:

  • Orientation and information.

  • Assistance with mandatory documents.

  • Referrals and community connections.

  • Supportive counseling.
